With our established networks of internationally recognised investigators based in some of the UK’s leading centres of excellence, our TRC provides industry, charities and partners with quick access to the expertise needed to deliver cutting-edge research.
And access to NIHR’s state-of-the-art facilities and some of the most advanced clinical tools from across the country can help you speed up the design and delivery of multi-centre studies.
The NIHR Oncology TRC enables you to:
- Receive expert support with the design of your research;
- Work with experts in the field to carry out projects;
- Deliver your study at scale and at pace across multiple sites;
- Access and share best practice;
- Use advanced clinical tools and state-of-the-art facilities to help you deliver your research.
We will consider supporting projects that are not limited to clinical trials, and therefore can involve an array of other topics including the use of big data and access to samples.
By working with us, you can also benefit from having input from patient groups in the design of your research project.
We are keen to explore collaborations with experts in the UK, as well as the life sciences industry, charities and other stakeholders.
If you’re interested in knowing more about us and in working with us, please contact us.
We have developed four workstreams:
Key elements of these workstreams will be pulled together to help set the agenda for transforming patient experience by engaging the NHS, industry, charity and other partners.
The NIHR Oncology TRC is led by Chair Professor Stan Kaye from the NIHR Royal Marsden Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).
