Patients are experts in their health conditions. The primary aim of this service is to bring patients and life science companies together, earlier in the clinical development process, to ensure your trial is patient-friendly. We can organise and facilitate engagement activities with patients to obtain their perspective on your trial protocols, recruitment strategies and patient-facing materials.
Our Study Support Service provides a range of support to help you plan and place your clinical study or trial more strategically, to optimise performance. Our free services include obtaining feedback from NHS clinical experts on the feasibility and deliverability of your study protocol in the chosen setting. We can also help you identify suitable sites and provide access to data and tools, such as theNIHR interactive Costing Tool, to support your site selection strategy. This support is sometimes referred to as NIHR feasibility services.
We have a range of support specifically for medical device, digital technology and diagnostic companies (collectively known as MedTech) to help successfully translate innovative ideas into the clinical setting. Our experts and support teams are based within NHS organisations and universities throughout England.
Clinical trials are evolving to find new, faster and more efficient ways to bring new treatments to patients. The NIHR has been supporting the delivery of novel, complex and innovative clinical trials for over a decade.
