Professor Eric Alton is the chair of the NIHR ATMP Coordinating Group and Professor of Gene Therapy and Respiratory Medicine at Imperial College London and Honorary Consultant Physician at Royal Brompton Hospital. Professor Alton coordinates the UK CF Gene Therapy Consortium which brings together the three centres in the UK (Edinburgh and Oxford Universities and Imperial College), including approximately 50 clinicians and scientists. He is an NIHR Senior Investigator, a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and leads the NIHR Clinical Research Network's Specialty Cluster B.
