The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme's researcher-led workstream offers researchers the opportunity to submit proposals on topics or research questions within the programme’s remit. Researcher-led funding opportunities are advertised according to the following timelines:
Stage 1 applications received at the call close on 1pm Wednesday 4 May 2022, and deemed to be both in remit and competitive will be considered by an HTA Funding Committee in July 2022. The Funding Committee will assess for scientific quality, feasibility and value for money. Decisions from this Committee will be communicated to applicants around the end of July 2022. Following this meeting, successful applicants will be invited to a Stage 2 application. Applicants will then have eight weeks to complete a Stage 2 form for it to be considered at an HTA Funding Committee in November 2022.
Stage 1 applications received at the call close on 1pm Wednesday 31 August 2022, and deemed to be both in remit and competitive will be considered by an HTA Funding Committee in November 2022. The Funding Committee will assess for scientific quality, feasibility and value for money. Decisions from this Committee will be communicated to applicants around the end of November 2022. Following this meeting, successful applicants will be invited to a Stage 2 application. Applicants will then have eight weeks to complete a Stage 2 form for it to be considered at an HTA Funding Committee in March 2023.
